Hello fellow teachers,

I have just been notified that my Middle school will be holding a  2-week extra class summer program, for which I need to make the curriculum. 
It will be held from Monday to Friday for 2 hours every day for two weeks in July.

I have done 3 day 3-hour camps before, and that took a while to plan from scratch, and we had fun hands-on filler activities to take up some time and let the kids have a bit of fun in between the learning, but these summer classes have to be more on the academic side. So, students should be engaged and learning. Has anyone done these kinds of classes before and could point me to some good resources/curriculum/ activities to fill up the 20 hours?

I have browsed the camps section on here, but camp materials don't work well as we don't have a budget to buy materials and can't do the fun activities.

Hey! At Twinkl we have hundreds of reading comprehsion actvities that might be useful! Also lots of 'newsroom' videos on up to date topics that have activites to tie in.
