Your favorite pop music on the radio.
« on: July 17, 2021, 12:23:46 pm »
The invention of radio helped in broadcasting music all over the world, with the exception of a few places and this was a great boon to the music lovers. With radio internet you can hear your favorite pop music on the radio almost anywhere - from the comfort of your home or even while driving on a long road. Today there are numerous radio stations and channels that play different kinds of music, and in addition there are several websites that allow you to listen to music online - by downloading it directly to your computer. All you need is a good internet connection for downloading to your computer, a personal CD player (which is always better than the latest mp3 player available), and you are ready to have fun listening to music anywhere. Some popular music download sites include Bandcamp, Rhapsody and Beatport - just to name a few.

Music is all about emotion and feelings and this is what the radio stations focus on most of the time. It is much easier to connect with others when you are emotional, and this is what the radio industry is banking on - providing us with a medium through which we can connect with one another! Many radio channels are keen on promoting their music and artists, and this is what helps them generate a much-needed income. Advertisers pay to play on popular radio stations and this is why musicians and artists need the support of their audiences - to sell their products!

Pop music has been playing a vital role in popularizing music and artists since its inception. In the beginning it was mainly underground musicians who were singing about things other than pop songs. But gradually as the public started appreciating pop songs and music, they started attracting the attention of the media and the audience. Pop music has managed to make its mark on the lives of millions of people and this is because of its unique blend of elements - simplicity, spirituality and entertainment, which are very important in today's modern age. If you have a keen interest in this genre of music then you should definitely try listening to it on the radio!

Occasionally some random Kpop/Western pop song on whatever sound system in the store I'm shopping in will catch my ear and I'll Shazam it and add it to whatever relevant youtube playlist I have. Same goes for random jazz or electronic or even trot songs or any other genre I come across.

Usually I go through genres every few weeks- Country, Western Pop, Kpop, 60s/70s/80s/90s, Synthwave, Death Metal, Marching Band, Folk, Classical, 1940s jazz and pop, whatever the F.

I signed into this using my fake FB account. Does it play full songs? I got
about 40 seconds of Pearl Jam and then silence.

Actually "Why don't Koreans have a classic rock radio station or sports talk with people shouting about the EPL or NHL? What's wrong with them?" would be more of an (certain subset of) expat question.
