If you go to your local store ask the owner for goods
made locally.

I guess if they re-sourced good jobs back to North America we wouldn't have to teach overseas anymore.

But there are good jobs in North America. Was unskilled assembly line factory work something you were hoping to do? With your college degree? That aint a good job in my opinion. In yours it is?

Well, there were not many good paying jobs around. So, in my early 20's I decided to go to school. But nowadays moving to a big city with bs rent prices for entry level wages isn't so great in the white collar field either. I'd do a trade or some other job if it paid well. At least for a while. Not forever. Just as a springboard to something else. But even many of those are hard to come by. (Of course I don't like being outside in hot humid weather. But a cooler climate no problem. My only weakness.)

I remember you saying you could legally work in both the USA and Canada. The United States has a labor shortage now. Its more than possible to get a decent paying job there.

Also, re-introduce unions and responsible corporate and civic governance.

Get those profits back into the workforce and the infrastructure and out
of the pockets of the 1%.

Once covid clears up. It would take some time to apply for a green card permit via family connection. I couldn't show up and work on day one. I would temporarily be a burden to family waiting for the green card. But, yes, I can get in.

Nah, your family connection means nothing when getting a green card. I explained this all before and thought you finally dropped that "I can move to the U.S. anytime I want" bullish*t? Again, I lived and graduated high school in the U.S.. My father became a naturalized citizen and has been residing in the states for over thirty years now and is retired after a successful career in banking. As I am a Canadian adult it makes zero difference whatsoever in regards to me getting a green card. Stop pretending having some relatives that are American is somehow a foot up in the process for you. It isn't. Hell, I was even issued a social security card and sent a notice to register for the draft. Means nothing.

We have better odds. Native English speaker, uni degree, connections in the country via knowing people, more wealth to start with - startup capital. On the other hand we're a lot less hardworking. Lazier. And have a negative can't do pessimistic outlook. Still thinking about, complaining about, and blaming the Great Recession of 2007. Hmm... maybe the third world people have a better chance of success.

Easier said than done.

But I can say that all the furniture in my house was made in the US, Korea or Sweden. My audio gear from England, Japan and the US. My Fred Perry polos from the UK and not the cheaper China ones. Filson belt and jacket, Brooks Bros suit. Chelsea boots were made in Portugal. China from the US and England. Custom Ti bike from the US.

But casual wear is hard to source from the US or is expensive. But I've read that they are taking old textile factories in the US and retrofitting them with modern equipment, i.e., robots.

I think countries are happier when most of the population is in the same
boat, in terms of income. A super rich and a super poor is destabilizing.

I like Stossel, though I don't always agree with him. There is inequality but that is because we gutted the middle class by letting jobs be outsourced and sent away. We also allowed big corporate mergers and larger monopolies. It's because of corporatism and crooked politics and not because of capitalism. Many big companies just want free fed money and government contracts instead of winning over consumers.
