I've been looking for a Halloween lesson that's more on the scary side for my middle schoolers, and I really couldn't find anything that was age appropriate, so I decided to make one. This could also work for high school.

In this lesson there are 11 short horror movie scenes. I put the kids in teams and play the clip. After watching, they have to write a 1-2 sentence summary of what happened. I included some key words that will help them write their sentences. The team with the best summary gets a point, the team who wins gets halloween candy.

The scenes I chose are scary, but not gory and don't depict anyone getting killed. It's mostly jump scares with a mix of recent and classic horror movies.

I used a PPT template from another creator, but I can't remember if it was someone from Spam or Waygook, and I can't find their name now. However, the content of this lesson was created by myself.
