The away goals rule was scrapped at the beginning of this season for UEFA competitions.
- Change the offsides rule in football.
I know baseball is trying but something really needs to be done to speed up the game. There was a point in my life when I had the time (and will) to watch an entire game. But these days it's hard with normal life commitments to watch.
agreed. watching baseball on the tv is a total drag. still pretty fun in-stadium, but even with all the free time in the world i'd never sit down for a full game at home (expect maybe the world series).
That American gridiron is for total soft cocks. What's up with those spandex tights anyways? They should lose all that protection and play like men. www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1aU0hz5Tf8
Except NFLers are bigger, faster and stronger than rugby/Aussie rules and also hit significantly harder. They did research on it and both the average impact and max impacts in NFL were significantly harder. Basically max impacts in Rugby/Aussie equate to getting hit by a person on a bike while NFL is closer to a small car at 25 mph. There's always some rugby players who move to America with the same attitude and think American football players are fat and slow (not bothering to research things like NFL combine measurements) and strut onto a H.S. or College field for fun and think they're tougher. One blindside hit by a 6'2" 250 LBer who runs a 4.6 40 and they change their tune. If they're conscious after that, that is. Both are tough as nails but rugby is like 15 rounds of Rocky Marciano body blows and NFL hits are like 1 Mike Tyson punch to the head. Both will leave you woozy. One thing lots of folks in Europe don't really seem to grasp is the level of freak athleticism that exists in American sports, particularly basketball and American football. Like Ronaldo and Mbappe are nice, but they're not out of this world by U.S. standards.
6'3, 240 lbs and runs a 4.3 second 40 yard dash. But he usually runs over people or throws 100+ kg guys out of the way with one hand.Derrick Henry, running backhttps://youtu.be/zrQTUy6VSm8
