Online Master in Education
« on: January 06, 2022, 11:34:48 am »
This will be a sequel to my online PGCE thread, which I was well chuffed to learn (at least a small number of) people found useful.

I've just been accepted onto the MEd course at the same university (Leeds Beckett), and will spend the next 12-18 months completing the course. It will cost £7000 total or £500 per module...which amounts to 14 modules. My PGCE already counts for 60 credits towards this Master degree (huge bonus!), but I still need to find out how many modules I'll get to skip.

I will document things like workload, timeline, module names and other course elements as I progress through the course for those who may be interested in following this route.

For those who may be wondering why I decided to do this...well, it's because the PGCE has paid off so massively it has motivated me to want to progress further and further until I get into school and possibly regional leadership positions. The PGCE alone has opened doors that were shut previously, and the career and financial opportunities have been nothing short of exciting. I'm hoping this MEd leads to similar!

Good luck with your master's! I think it's great that you're advancing your career prospects and also that you're sharing the process to encourage and motivate others.
