I agree the ad was tasteless. But 1 dumb ad during peak wokeness does not make me completely freak out over a company.

There was a message in there. But at the heart of it is: are fathers teaching their sons [and daughters] about morality?

Or calling all men rapists?  Besides I hardly think the new left can teach morality when they are too busy trying to confuse and gender change them.

I agree, which is why shaving for men should be BANNED. No reason for a man to want to resemble a woman by removing the hairs on his face. It's simply not natural.

Yes, in fact the world has changed since 2019 and considering that women rapists with penises are now a thing, that Gillette ad pointing the finger exclusively at men would perhaps be a bit out of date. Maybe a 2022 ad would try and convince us to teach boys and girls with penises not to rape.

I have absolutely no idea what that was about. It didn't look like a razor commercial. The song was terrible too.
My bad dude.  Was trying to derail with metallurgy.  She has pedigree locally though, without need for swinging from Chandelier.  But yeah, female empowerment or perhaps gender no specific empowerment. You know.  Being strong like Titanium.

Ahhh...now I get it.

I am totally ignorant of this Gillette advertisement that is mentioned. I won't obsess about it, somewhere someone thinks everyone alive is worthy of death for some reason.

Me??? Drink beer, drive your motorbike, play drums, dig groovy tunes and shave almost every day.

I worked with an Indian girl at uni. She had a wicked, dyed blonde moustache. Poor girl. I kept staring at her. I couldn't help myself. Every time I saw her I thought, 'why don't you just shave'? What do I know? Maybe she liked it?
Religious reasons?

I'm a creature of habit. I only ever used Mach3  since I started shaving. So 20+ years. I shave maybe 2 times a week and that way one cartridge lasts for 3-4 months I guess. The last time I bought a set with the handle and 9 cartridges, I paid around 16k or so. That will be enough for more than 2 years. Pretty cheap I would say.

Geeze man.  Korea is the best place in the world for laser removal.  Just about any skin clinic or pibugwa would laser that off.  Body hair, moles, blemishes, etc.  Quite cheap with the insurance.  Wham bam thank you maam.

LOL I always thought wham bam thank you ma'am meant something completely different than laser hair removal.

Didn't David Bowie sing wham bam thank you ma'am in a song? Can't recall which one.

Hangook! This was in New Zealand over 3 decades ago. If you actually read any of my posts you would know that I work for myself, in Korea. And...I very much doubt if a young Indian woman would be tutoring with me at a Korean university, anyway. Sorry, I just thought that I was being obvious. Next time I post, I'll be really clear so as not to cause you any misunderstandings

No problems.  I don't obsess over anyone on here.  I don't follow anyone too closely.  Even though some seem to follow me and my every detail for some reason.

You're telling me.  I have no idea where it came from.  But, I have used it in the other context too.

I just like the butchering of language in this ad. I guess it's kind of like a male version of the dove campaign.

I took this picture in HomePlus in Jinju back when. I wonder if they have 8 bladed razors now in a land where men rarely need to shave?
