Hi all,

Anyone know credible providers that provide online qualifications in the following;

DELTA
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
PGCE

Is QTS a teacher's license?
If it is, you can get a US Teaching License from an online program called "Teach Now", which recently changed its name to Moreland University.

Are you looking to pursue ESL as a career, or ELA as in English Language Arts (“proper English Teacher” like the one you had back home)?

If your answer is the former, you can go the CELTA/DELTA route…British Council in Korea runs CELTA courses, and I’m sure they could point you in the right direction for DELTA https://www.britishcouncil.kr/en/teacher/cambridge-celta

If you’re aiming for ELA, then the PGCE (with or without QTS) is what you should be aiming for. Popular programs include Nottingham and Sunderland Unis. You can check out my PGCE journey  with Leeds Beckett University in the link below. I chose LBU because they offer the cheapest PGCE in the country…no way I was going to pay 7-9 grand for an online certificate. This is a no QTS course, so if you still want to get QTS you’ll have to go through an assessment only route at a later date.

Thank you HiddeninKorea and waygo0k.

Just as an ad on, that link to British council is for a 2014 course that isn't offered any more and I'd be surprised if they get back to any questions you have about the DELTA, if they don't run that either, which I think they don't. The one thing the BC is very good at is not answering emails.
