I have managed to make this one-minute video into a whole 40-minute lesson.

1. I play the video but show the lyrics on the PPT
2. I make them read the lyrics
3. I explain who Bob Dylan is
4. I explain the lyrics and use examples from their life
(to explain foundation, i draw a building shaped box and write "middle school" in it. Then i explain that the big heavy thing under the school is what makes it strong. Then I explain what the metaphor means for a person to have a foundation.Then i ask them how they know so much and can be so clever in grade 7. Then i write "primary school" in the foundation under the middle school. I found this example helps make it clear to them. )
5. watch the video (but stop before the pepsi logo at the end.
6. Watch the video again, but stop to explain the contrast between 1969 and 2009
7. make the students read the lyrics again
8. Watch the video one last time. They always groan when they realize it is a commercial for pepsi.
