To quote two very different Waygook posters.

What is your go-to meal after/during a period of imbibing?

(Those dry need not apply)

The next day:

Without a doubt, full on English Breakfast. For me it's steak, sausages, eggs, tomatoes, bacon, chips or bubble and squeek, toast, and lashings of butter. If I could, I'd add Black Pudding'. This would be followed through the day with any other shit food that takes my fancy, including sandwiches, lots of ice cream, cake, chocolate. Maybe even a burger or 3 thrown in.

While drinking:
Peanuts

When finished drinking:
Chicken
Battered hot dogs and chips or meat patties and chips
Meat pie and fresh bread
Maybe even a roast dinner, if I cooked it beforehand.
Left-over samgyeopsal (often in a sandwich)

This is one reason why I rarely indulge anymore. It's not the drinking that's a problem...it's the aftermath!

Edit: I don't eat all the 'finished drinking' food, just one or two of the above. But I probably could  :-[

2 tylenol, a pot of ice coffee ( i make ice with the previous days leftover coffee so it doesnt get diluted) spicy italian sub from subway loaded with pickles. If that still doesnt make ya feel better, a 473ml bottle of pocari sweat works wonders.

During imbibing-
Back in the days of 10-15,000 won fruit plates, it was always those. Nutrients, vitamins, hydration.
Otherwise, pickles are good. Fresh or pickled tomatoes. Tapas. Russians and Euros have a good idea of what to eat while drinking- be refreshed, not downing fried crap. That mackerel you get at Korean places is good too. "Why do I feel like shit the next day?" asks person who shoveled crap into their mouth while drinking.

Always a wrong bet- Taco Bell, Fried Chicken, Chili Cheese Fries, White Castle, Lamb kebabs (love em but they exacerbate gut rot), any Korean spicy soup, dwaeji galbi, samgyeopsal (but weirdly not moksal or jokbal, must be the extra grease),

3.6 Roentgen (not great, not terrible/Really hit or miss)- Pizza, American Chinese, Fish and Chips, Bangers & Mash (can either be really great or really dodgy), raw fish (see B&M), Jimmy John's, mozzarella stix, soondae, ddeokbokki.

Next day? Assuming that drinking went well, something refreshing. Eat good, refreshing food and you can beat the next "blahs". Something like soba or a nice sandwich or a poke bowl.

If you've hit the blarghs, then cold pizza is always solid. Mac & cheese is a classic.

Full breakfast is always best enjoyed when you know you're winding down but you aren't wasted and you know you won't be gutrotted the next day. If eaten while wasted or while gutrotted, those eggs can cause things to go south pretty fast. It is great after a night of mild drinking where you know it's just going to be a relaxing day of watching football or something.

Once I have a few beers, any semblance of an appetite goes right out the window. I NEVER ever crave food when I'm drinking. Zero.

I always make sure I have a meal before I go out so I don't f myself over by drinking on an empty stomach.

This can actually become a point of contention with my friends and I cuz I want to go to places with a good beer selection and they'll want "a meal" and more often than not those two ideas are not the same and don't have much crossover.

Mcdonalds breakfast is my go to. Never really interested in their burgers but a sausage and egg mcmuffin with a greasy hashbrown in the morning will always be welcomed after a night of drinking.
"I put quite a few pics online and got rated anywhere from 8.2 to 9.6 by lots of chicks. Of course, I can't claim to have the same looks now though Koreans are always saying "handsome" - hangook77

Grabbed some mcDs drive thru this morning.  (Or as the Koreans call it.  Make Morning.)
I put this quote under my profile because D.L. Orean is jealous of me.  He quotes my every word like gospel and stalks my every move online.  He even puts fake quotes under his profile.  How lame is that?  He must be real ugly if he's going to such great lengths to comment on my own appearance....

Taco Bell.

If my toilet could talk it would call me quite the destructive force the next morning.
