Post your preferred or most annoying elevator music. This should include the type of thing you would hear when on call waiting.

I try never to use elevators, a known cause of heart attacks.

It's ok now that I'm back home and seldom have to traverse more than about 5 levels but that would have been a challenge in some of my old digs in Korea. Scaling 22 floors  more than twice a day carrying shopping might also cause heart problems for the elderly and uninitiated. That said the notion of elevator music was intended as a type of metaphor in this thread in the way it was used in the lyric to this song.

It's the way the term elevator music is sometimes used in a much broader sense to describe that type of music that one sometimes listens too when in a situation where they are waiting, be it in an elevator, or waiting on the end of a telephone line.

My late father used it to describe a type of music that he considered bland and inoffensive. Then again, by my tastes I considered most of what he enjoyed to be a type of elevator music. 

My late dad did too.
I fond it "rich" (as in overdone) given he was all jazz and classical, and sometimes a Liszt or, he actually liked, Norah Jones.
