I just scanned through it quickly but surprisingly, there is no mention of his girlfriend. Might be another person with the same name 🤔.
But jokes aside, good on him!

As Robin Williams once said, in one of his best movies ever..."That's about as exciting as whale-shite".

Dude always got into flame wars and brought up his “hot” girlfriend.

Hopefully he does t get raided by the Korean police for this!

RIP Why did he leave? Wasn't another funbuster situation was it?

I don't think he ever stated a reason why in the forums, but I'd hazard to guess that it was because waygook.org didn't offer him anything in regard to banter and fun. Not a lot of users post, and a lot of the ones who do are either engaged in arguments or trolling.

But I don't know at all.

It was due to a downturn in the site, the discourse, reddit being better and then the arbitrary ban hammer that hit (I think).

He's done a better job than I have at staying away.

I started this account on a lark post-ban, didn't expect it to go through, then deliberately posted a giant sign that let everyone know this account was me, and expected it to be stuck in mod limbo, but here I am!

Happy to be back. Thank you to the powers that be.

Most of the comments in the thread were deleted by Van but some context remains.

lol, he got sick of some of the users ruining the vibe, and thinks forums are outdated anyway.

So there you have it.

There's already so few people active in the forums anyway. I'm surprised people get banned at all (short of blatant racism, threatening violence, etc.)  Seems odd lol

Should have done us all a favor and stayed away. Take one for the team!
