It was due to a downturn in the site, the discourse, reddit being better and then the arbitrary ban hammer that hit (I think).

He's done a better job than I have at staying away.

I started this account on a lark post-ban, didn't expect it to go through, then deliberately posted a giant sign that let everyone know this account was me, and expected it to be stuck in mod limbo, but here I am!

Happy to be back. Thank you to the powers that be.

lol, he got sick of some of the users ruining the vibe, and thinks forums are outdated anyway.

So there you have it.

There's already so few people active in the forums anyway. I'm surprised people get banned at all (short of blatant racism, threatening violence, etc.)  Seems odd lol
