Yes, lots of young people here have various hobbies including cosplay. Googling 'Korea cosplay' will return lots of results including cosplay conventions.
I'm surprised there are still people here who repeat the mantra that Koreans are soulless automatons who only work eat drink and sleep.

I guess I am thinking of older Koreans who used to work 12-18 hours a day.
The younger ones have broader interests and horizons.

Well, I for one, am rather happy the ajummas and ajosshis aren't running around in Sailor Moon and spandex outfits. I enjoy keeping my breakfast down in the morning.

This would require OP to
1) Have the initiative and curiosity to do a basic internet search themselves, something which would have negated this whole post before it started if they did
2) Be open-minded and non-prejudicial enough to genuinely wonder if this is the case
3) Have rudimentary skill in Korean, which apparently they don't
4) Actually have a decent number of Korean friends of any age, which apparently they don't. Even old Koreans have hobbies and interests. Granted theirs tend to often revolve around things like hiking, fishing and golf (perhaps reflective of their age- again do we expect 60 year olds to dress as Sailor Moon?) but they don't just eat, drink and work.

Which begs the question- was the person genuinely curious about getting into the cosplay scene? Or, as is the case with pretty much every "Why do/don't Koreans...?" thread was this about taking a swipe at Koreans?

K-pop is just dance groups. :p Unless they wear anime/game costumes while dancing, I haven't personally seen that myself though.

Also, Korea does have events where people cosplay and stuff, I don't know of any off the top of my head, but I do know they have them.
I know of a couple of female Korean cosplayers that have done promotional stuff for Blizzard and some Korean game studios in cosplay.
