The BEST and/or WORST part of your week
« on: October 10, 2022, 10:36:20 pm »
BEST: for the first time ever, i awoke with purring in BOTH ears simultaneously, a cat on each side. I guess it was inevitable, as they like to sleep at the head of the bed, and each purrs from time to time, but the eclipse, the synchronicity, the duality, was a new experience.

WORST: the youtube algorithm popped up David Letterman's tribute to Robin Williams from 8 friggin' years ago, and i felt compelled to rewatch it all these years later. (If that was the worst, i guess it was a good week)
Help others, especially animals. Say what you think, be considerate of others. Appreciate more than deprecate. Teach well, jump on teachable moments. Enjoy Korea as it is, without changing it. Dwell! Yet, at times, change your life for the better. "The most important [thing] is to have a good day."

BEST: It's almost winter and the houseflies are dying.

WORST: It's almost winter and the dying houseflies are annoying.

Finished the very last part of  a 6 month board game campaign (Betrayal: Legacy) with 4 of my (geographically) closest friends last Sunday.
It was an amazing finale, and just *barely* beat it. I happened to be the traitor this last session (it's a different player nearly every session), and felt very conflicted: do I either A: try my best to destroy the others and win the chapter, but tank the entire campaign or B: do I let a things slide and sabotage myself so that our combined efforts for the last half year will result in a win?

I decided to stay true to form and try my very hardest to ruin everything, and got sooooooooo close!!!

Great game, btw, would recommend it!

Also had a *killer* Thanksgiving Day party yesterday evening!

On the flip side, we're done with long weekends for a while now, and I feel like I need another couple days off.

Best: Getting a box of cigars through customs without it being stopped and taxed.

Worst: Anything related to teaching. I'm pretty much sick of this gig.

Depending on things, a toaster oven and a splash of salt can work wonders.

The first cup of morning coffee from my French-press....everyday of the week .
Waygook.org moderators are ALL cowardly dickheads (we are what we eat) and shag-bags.  Van Twitter is a tender-footed tosser with too many cats, operates a possible sock account while J.V.C. (a.k.a, Marti/Steel Rails) is simply using up everyone else's oxygen.

Billy, just slice them up, toss in olive oil, and throw them in a smoking pan with a few sliced veges and some salt. probably not what you want though if it's the air fryer you are cooking in. Tastes great though!

The Best: catching a whiff of someone's cigarette.

The Worst: having to go out and about to do mundane stuff.

The first gulp of cold brew from my cold brew machine.  (Even in winter I am drinking ice coffee unless it's minus 10 degree or more in the morning.  Ha ha.)
I still never got any previous warnings to make me muted.  I never got any reason for being muted.  I guess the moderators of this site are just fat loser assholes who do as they feel.  Just because they feel like it or were losing an argument.  Dumbass morons!!!

So far this week...

Best: eating a big bowl of salty home cooked pork bones with freshly baked white bread and butter.

Worst: catching some virus that makes my head hurt, nose run, body ache, and sets the nerve endings on fire. Kids
             can teach themselves.

I'm not sure if youre looking for advice, but if it's bothering you, I'd recommend stopping by a pharmacy and getting some antibiotic creams, a mild topical antiseptic, some gauze, and some bandage wraps.
With burns and scaldings, it's best to go a bit overkill: you'd be surprised at the scars even minor burns can leave you with. I wish more had been done about mine because they still show up pretty clearly decades later.

Best: speedy  conversion of Halloween themed Scene-it lesson to a nearly identical but non-Halloween Scene-it lesson was a big success despite no promised costume party.

Worst (so far): couldn't walk around my schools in my costume.
