Smile Lasik in Korea
« on: October 24, 2022, 01:38:23 pm »
Hello, I'm not sure if anyone has gotten Lasik in the past year but I was wondering about average cost as I am looking into getting Lasik around January. I would love to get SMILE Lasik if I can but I am just curious about prices. If you have gotten Lasik in the past year how much did you pay and which place did you go?

Just make sure you research the difference between LASIK and LASEK.  Read about the two years ago.  One has a longer recovery time but also is safer if you play contact sports or get an injury.  Won't mess things up eye wise.  Whereas one is shorter healing time but you are more "delicate" in some ways.  Personally, I'd get the longer term one if it were me.

The prices vary depending on the clinic, and at some clinics it can also depend on how bad your eyes are. Sometimes they run specials, too.

I've heard of prices as low as 1.2m (I think as part of promotions or something), but generally most people that I've spoken to spend anywhere between 2-3m, depending on what they got approved for and other options they may have opted to pay for.

Both Smile and Lasik are more expensive than Lasek, but I think Smile is the more expensive of the two. So if you want Smile and you get approved for it, I'd be prepared to spend a minimum of 2.5mil but probably closer to 3mil.

All in all, don't go with the cheapest place. You want to go with a clinic that has very experienced doctors, and that has a good reputation with the local population.

^ This.
Your eyesight is probably something you don't want to leave in the hands of the lowest bid price!
