Which American crime tv series do you watch?
« on: November 26, 2022, 08:29:49 am »
The most watched category is crime.

So,...CSI still?
Law & Order?
The new Criminal Minds?

Frank Pembleton owns the room every time in the classic Homicide: Life on the Street: https://youtu.be/m0_VBVXuyCM

Only shows like season one of True Detective can rival in real gravitas.

The new Criminal Minds?

Didn't realize that this was back. It looks like the same as the old one without one of the best characters (Dr. Spencer Reid). Will probably give it a go.

Do wish that we could see a new season of "Mindhunter" but that seems to be not happening.

I'm bumping this because people are back on Monday, and me being a TV person, want to know if anyone is watching any decent American crime shows that have passed me by.

You can see me in the new doco drama 'Gangs of Cheongju'. I'm playing a capo named Kurt Sorensen. You can't miss me...tough looking guy covered in blurry ink

No Kojak? "Who loves you baby?"
Huggy Bear in Starsky & Hutch?
Baretta? "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time."
Detectives on house boats? Quincy ME Living in a trailer? Rockford In a beach house? Harry O On a millionaire's mansion property? Magnum PI

Think of the Andy Griffith Show turned into a crime drama. Andy as the detective, Barney as the police counterpart who he always outsmarts, Floyd the barber as his crime connection, Goober as his wheel man.

I grew up watching every episode i could of Columbo & Magnum PI. They were fun.

Nowadays so many shows are not an individual or duo trying to make a difference but the trend is toward how good the FBI, CIA, police task forces, SWAT units, crime scene teams and other law enforcement organizations are - very UNLIKE Rockford Files, Murder She Wrote, The Equalizer, Hart to Hart, Remington Steele, Simon & Simon, Quincey.

Great theme song and the tag line was pretty catchy, but the hair, man, the hair.
