That's not really a remake, though, it's a sequel to the film. But I agree, you can tell it's being produced by Disney. It has all of the same stilted acting and dialogue that you'd expect from one of Disney's tween dramas. I think they're trying to cash in by targeting new and younger viewers rather than focusing on fans who grew up with the original film. Which they honestly could have done both. Like I guess they were trying to, but instead of using the film's formula to build upon the world already there, they just kind of tossed in a bunch of callbacks for the sake of nostalgia instead. But Disney is always going to Disney.

Did you at least get to the part where Warwick Davis made his reappearance?
