How are you today?

Help others, especially animals. Say what you think, being considerate of others. Appreciate more than deprecate. Teach well and jump on teachable moments. Enjoy Korea as it is, without changing it. Yet, at times, change your life for the better. "The most important [thing] is to have a good day."

Good Morning!

I just clicked in my message box and for whatever reason it just opened to all my messages, so I got to read this gem from VanIslander yesterday.  Please don't PM me man.  Just respond on the thread about Terry Fox.

"Those who traffic in bullshit see it everywhere.

My degrees are in Philosophy: say what the f you want, just back it with reasoning.

I have ONLY worked as newspaper journalist and English language teacher.

My dad told me in 1987 i was a man now and had to find my way. No one has given me a cent since. Yet i have found a way to SAY WHAT I THINK = SPEAK MY TRUTH, and  ... not once, not ever toting the company line, spouting b.s

I do not care an iota whether i am believed online (Cassandra never met the 'net), i just speak my truth, say what i think. I march to the beat of my own drum!

Have a good day! (Seriously, have a good day today; string thousands of them together ;)"

I don't understand how these 2 ideas are related:

It's all good to speak 'your' truth', if your truth is the real truth, not just some made-up reality. Also, marching to the beat of your own drum is fine, many people do it in some way or another. However, most don't drift in to the realms of fantasy... just because you say and do as you please, doesn't make it right or real.

I hope Van Islander makes the best of just being a poster, but in only a day, I'm starting to see bits and pieces of passive aggressive in amongst the delirious happiness drifting into his posts and replies, not just in the Terry Fox stuff. I think you need more than 2 jobs in your life to understand people better.

Sorry! Good morning! Rather good afternoon...I got up really late. I'm in hibernation mode, with only 2 hours of classes in the afternoons, just 10 meters away

If Van had still been a mod yesterday, you can guarantee all his confident and even arrogant assertions of Terry Fox starting from B.C. and running East across several provinces would've been wiped from Waygook.  I mean he wasn't just a little wrong (and refusing to acknowledge it), he got it completely backwards.  Maybe he's geographically dyslexic.

Yeah, you're not wrong. I was thinking the same. All of this would of got to boiling point and then it would have been 'disappeared.' You and Lazio have told him that he got it wrong. No problem...just say whoops, I got it wrong. Move on! Geez, I say I got it wrong often...I don't walk around with a complex or a ruddy face.

   some great images popped into my head.

On the plus side, on a dreary day where I ended up spending a long time just lazing at home, Van provided some good entertainment.
