ive been meaning to get a tattoo of a turtle on my leg at some point, havent gotten around to it yet

Reverse image search says it's an optical component, a bearing, a plug, a bottle cap, or part of a dab storage travel kit (there's a 18+ warning page visiting this site?).

I have three. All in uni pre-1994.

1. My wife and I got "ama-gi", the oldest symbol of freedom, i on my right writing arm, she on her inner right calf, with vines added.

2. A Sanskrit symbol tattooed over my heart, translating roughly as "that which is not lost" about the inner contures remaining when thinking of what has been lost.

3. I got a colorful big tattoo on my right hip of a humpback whale, memoralizing a childhood canoeing experience up close and personal just out of a bay off Vancouver Island. Blue water, red sun, orange tinge, was told the "white" would hurt. I smirked, thinking yeah right, i was knocking the tattoos out no prob, but indeed: the whitecaps of the waves of the emerging whale hurt like a knife cutting through flesh. Why,why, why. ... ugh... anyways, only black ink ever again i thought (have had no tats in the quarter century plus since).

4. My best bud from late elementary thru college got a tattoo of Winnie the Pooh on his belly because his girlfriend thought it would be cute. He regretted it later.

I think that these days, it might be more interesting to ask who *doesn't* have a tattoo.

I don't. I guess I never had the courage to get any body modifications

Never got one.  I thought about getting one, once.  But then everyone and their dog got one meaning it was no longer cool or daring to be different.  I'd just be doing what everyone else was doing and following the lemmings.

In China a lot of young people have tattoos now. Some of my students even have them.
