I have an XDS (Chinese brand) road bike with an internal hub for smooth transmission. I can switch gears while totally stationary. It doesn't have any suspension but I don't really need it in the streets. I've clocked 50km/h going downhill on this bad boy 8) I have two powerful USB-charged lights mounted on the front. Motorists get blinded by that s***! It's hard to attach other accessories like training wheels so non-cyclists like JohnVoightCar wouldn't be able to use it. When I get home I'll show you guys my helmet too

I'm thinking of getting a racing bike too.

I have two bikes. One for road and one for downhill. I want another with a 1X11 gearset.

Here's my ride mounted on my indoor trainer. Performer, handmade by a small Taiwanese company that mostly specializes in recumbents for the US market. Aluminium/carbon combination, 16 speed (8 x 2), weighs less than 10 Kg.  A pleasure to ride, flies along.

No idea why Waygook inverted the pictures. Help!!!  If you click on them, they are okay though.

I wish I could buy a new bike. I would love a Cannondale lefty. However, I don't
have a spare 8-9million right now.

Yeah, do you go mountain biking, too? Or is that just for on the road?

Although I love the Lefty, I don't think it is something I would buy.
I wouldn't buy it for the same reason I wouldn't buy an Omega
Seamaster watch. I would be too scared to ride/wear it lest I put
a scratch on it. I'd be crying for a week.

Also, I could do a lot of other things with that amount of money.
My limit for a bike is around 2m. Maybe a little more.

Now...

17,941,100원
http://item.gmarket.co.kr/Item?goodscode=2824974643

Inflation?

But that's waaaay higher than the American price.

How are Koreans paying that much for bikes? Who's buying?

Normally that would be called a city bike or a hybrid and not a road bike. What you called a racing bike is usually called a road bike. No matter the name you've got a nice looking bike.

Marin is a good brand, but without knowing the wheels, groupset, etc., it's hard to know if it's a good deal or not. In the US, bike prices, especially used, are currently quite low due to shops having over-ordered during the pandemic and people who thought they were going to ride a lot deciding they aren't and trying to sell their bikes. That may or may not be applicable to where you are in China.

I translated the name from Chinese to English. In Chinese they call it a '公路单' which sort of translates to 'road bike.' If it's a hybrid bike, what's it a hybrid between?

You need to check the group set and weight. I don't know this bike, heard of the brand but don't know much about it. Does it have an aluminuim frame? Some of the lower price bikes have steel frames, avoid those.

It's a beautiful day, so time to start spring cleaning. I began with the shed. Hauled out our bikes for a wipe down after 4 months idol. The front bikes mine and the one at the back is my wife's. Photo taken outside my house. We enjoy riding the local tracks for exercise and bikes are so good for a quick trip to the supermarket and shops.

As I was taking the photos, Marti pulled up on his new pink scooter and wanted a photo with our bikes.
