Here are the lesson plans for this lesson.  I've modified them a little bit to fit well into word. Available for Windows 97-2003 and 2007.  Enjoy!

Does anyone have any ideas for activities/games for the lesson? I'm teaching 1차시 and 2차시 tomorrow, and while I'm planning on using "Hide and Seek" for the first part of the lesson, I need something still for the second part. "Dice Game" just won't work... Essentially, I need to find something that doesn't require any extra materials!

Hello,

Here are some resources to assist you in putting a lesson together. I used the In my two ppt with the Jeopardy game for my first lesson.

My second lesson I used the prepositions  and moving prepositions and used the pdf for indicating placement.

Hope this is useful.

Here's a power point I made of a map and directions, with a review of the places and directions at the beginning. It mixes 'go straight,' 'turn left' and 'turn right' with 'It's next to the ___.' Since the buildings are in pairs, I used the first half as an introduction and then asked students individually for the second half, and then did a listening exercise where I gave directions and had the students tell me the name of the building I was giving directions too.

Here are my 'lesson plans' / materials for this unit. Sorry the lesson plans aren't in a very good format, my school is happy for me to just have them as notes for myself.

Sorry for any duplication of materials borrowed from other people on waygook, and thanks for originally posting them!

.: I know everyone is WAAAAY past this lesson but I thought I might share anyway. I had an open class for 4th grade recently for Lesson 13 and I made a short film to use (in place of the Look & Listen videos). I hope it'll be helpful to you guys too (maybe for like next year). here's the link to the video:

I think it's useable for 5th and 6th grade's "Where is ...?" lessons.
4th = lesson 13
5th = lesson 5
6th = lesson 2

Here is a KABOOM game I made for the review lesson.

Cut out the kaboom strips, one set for each group. Use an old, cleaned-out pringles container to hold them in (you'll definitely need something that isn't see through).

To play, put students in groups of about 6 and divide each into 2 teams. Teams take turns drawing a strip of paper. If it has pictures or words they have to make a sentence. If it has 'KABOOM' written on it they have to write 'K'. The second time they have to write an 'A.' The first team to spell kaboom loses the game.

Here are some activites based on the unit. The First is a hit the buzzer/bell if you can unscramble the answer ppt. There's also a worksheet, where the students must direct one another to relevant location.
Hope it's useful.

Essentially the same as grade 6's lesson 3. Here's a pretty good ppt to interact with the kids where they have to practice saying the question and giving directions through little pictures.

My coteacher found this video. It is mostly in Korean, but it is a good video to introduce the topic of asking for and giving directions.
