Here are the lesson plans. They've been reformatted just a bit to fit into Word. Available for Windows 97-2003 and 2007. Enjoy!

Hi,
Here's two "Price is Right" games I downloaded off of Mediafire. It's basically the guessing game that is described in Period 1... but I'm using it for Period 2.
I like the PPT with the Korean won because it's more realistic. And having a bonus question for the team with the closest price is an excellent idea. Though I'm going to change the pictures to more Korean stuff like Kimbap is W2,500, a cellphone is W50,000, a Maltese dog at Emart is W450,000, etc...
Before starting the game, I was planning on reviewing big numbers by writing them on the board and having students raise their hand with the answer.

Here's another "The Price is Right" game. I plan on splitting the class into 12 teams and having them keep track of their own money. They will write and say their guess...this way I can see if what they say matches what they write.
The team with the closest guess answers the bonus question AFTER each team decides whether to buy "I'll take it." or not buy, "It's too expensive."
The team with the most items (not money) wins.

Here is the introduction worksheet for this lesson. It has vocabulary, key sentences, dialogue-circle the right answer, and simple writing about the price on pictures. Enjoy!

These are my own slightly modified versions as well as some other PPTs. Some of these were modified off of this site as well as the mediafire account. If you don't have any of these PPTs before, you might like these.
There should be no lack of material for this lesson now

For part 2 of this class I did this, it was VERY successful:
1. Look and Speak
2. Listen and Repeat
3. Get the class to create and then practice a dialogue between a shop keeper/customer
4. Get some volunteers to perform these - use real money and things makes it much more interesting and fun
5. Let's Read/Do it yourselves
6. The price is right game (attached)
This class worked really well and they were very enthusiastic - the game is quite hard to explain but easy to play so don't bother with long explanations of rules - just get into it.

Maybe I'm missing the thread on this but I see one on Market Day. Here are some materials I used for market day. Also, I used the printable cash .hwp file from this thread:

If anyone else has market day materials, please add them!

In the first lesson the students had to guess the currency, we listened to the song 'How much is that doggy in the window?' and after they studied how to say amounts, we played the E-mart game which I modified. Enjoy!
PS: I used the font, Burst my bubble. You can download it from dafont.com

Pretty self-explanatory worksheet. I did a role-play with my CT for section 1, but you can also just dictate.

Emart game ppt.
Guess the prices for different items.
Students ask, "How much is the ____?"
It's $2.
Teacher says, "It costs more or less."

You can change the prices to make it harder/easier. If you have lots of time, you can play the true "Price is Right" way and have each team write down (and say) the price. The team that is closest without going over gets a point.

Here's some vocabulary words and fill in the blank color coded questions.
I use the vocabulary words for spelling tests and handwriting practice.
I use the questions as a quick way to review. I'll call on a single student from each group and ask him/her to answer. If he/she gets it right I give the group a point.
