In regards to including cultural differences within this lesson, here's an ESL song on YouTube that teaches "I like" "He/She likes" in regard to how people eat potatoes in different countries.  It also reviews "My name is" and "I'm from."

Here's some pictures of food and a pass the ball game. Whoever has the ball when the music stops says: "Do you like_____?". The whole class answers "Yes, I do" or "No, I don't" depending on the thumbs up/thumbs down. Such a simple game, but kids love it!

Found the variation of the Tic Tac game to be very useful indeed, the kids enjoyed the game and werent shy to get truly involved, so thanks for that. Great idea on the printable video, always a nice way to learn about colors and bring them too live.
