5th grade book: The English is a little bit awkward and formal, but it's not as boring as the other books.
CD is voiced-over.
6th grade book: This book is ok. Its at the level of the students, and has some interesting chapters 11- This is my blog.
The CD is voiced-over.

We chose this book for our 6th graders. Here are the reasons:
Overall:
Many of the other textbooks continued to include extremely simple language. They were very reflective of our current curriculum. This one, I believe applies the National English curriculum in a different and more interesting way. The conversations are more natural and the context is slightly more complex. In my opinion, the way they introduce the target language is more conducive to how language should be taught. Captivating titles such as "King Sejong Invented Hangul" or "How do you make Pocket Money?" again caught my eye.
Graphics:
The graphics are more mature. Many of the animations reminded me of anime.
Level:
Again out of all the books, I think this book is one of the higher-leveled texts. The language is complex and it encourages children to speak more fluently.
It will take dedication from both teachers to use this text properly. Extra support should be given to lower leveled students and scaffolding may be have to be done far more frequently than how much it needs to be done with the current curriculum. Pre-teaching will be very important.

This was the book I really wanted my school to choose because the language was harder but more interesting. And the titles offered interesting subject to really explore. It seemed like a really fun book to teach, and would be challenging for both the teacher and co-teacher to plan lessons.

My school chose this book for the upcoming year. I'm still waiting for the teacher's book and the CDs, all I have right now is the students book. Have any of you taught this book yet, or have any materials to share? I'd like to share my materials for the year and work with others. Thanks! :)

My co-teacher's opinion: this book is very similar in format to the previous textbook - the lesson is divided into listening, speaking, reading, writing, story time and review periods (6 periods per lesson). The language is more conversational English than formal English.
There seems to be a lot of resources per lesson on the CDs. I only looked through half of lesson 3 and was kind of overwhelmed already =P

I just received these books today. Do we post to this link to start creating lesson plans for March here? I have to spend the next two weeks lesson planning and want to make that I am submitting them in the correct place.

For now, as there's been no word from the mods, I'd personally recommend starting individual chapter threads with the textbook publisher and an author in the title, then linking them, either here, or perhaps more appropriately
here
. Or you could start a New Textbook Index Thread, post up the thread links and then post a few placeholders for the mods to edit. Whichever you reckon would give them the least headache when transferring all the links to an index thread. Or just private message a mod/Arsalan.

Our school has chosen this book, because this book introduced natural use of languages in a fun way. If you read the dialogues and compare them from other books, it is pretty easy to see that this book is far better written than other books. But personally, I do not prefer the pictures and layout of this book. When you choose the text book, I think it's important to go over how same language use is expressed in stories or dialogue situations. And this book caught my eyes.
