Here's a ppt inspired by the communication task on page 145. They can choose from the speech bubble or come up with their own. I give them 10 seconds or so to answer depending. Look to the book to understand the rules. It's a simple game but gets the kids laughing. Change my student's names to your own.

Okay, I gotta give a little something back to the Waygook community.  I just finished making a PPT to give directions for a game which recycles the key phrases of the lesson.  This is in place of the Red Rover-style Communication Task.

So, if you know what Four Corners activities are, this is a variation.  In this case, I'm making six "corners" in my classroom.  Each "corner" will have a different colored sheet of paper there.  Students have laminated cards and have to ask each other "What's wrong" and respond appropriately.  When they meet someone with the same card, they stay together.  Then they pick a corner.  The activity ends when each corner has 4-5 students with the same card.

As a follow up, I'm going to roll a die and have members of each group practice using the language, as sort of "ambassadors" of their groups.  I haven't actually used this activity with the students yet, so I can't tell you the outcome.  I'm hoping it doesn't bomb.
