Thanks for this!

For some reason, the first two files in your first post aren't working for me -- when I click on them, my browser tries to download "index.php". Would you mind re-uploading them if you get the chance?

Edit: Looking at 6-1 Words.pdf ... What is up with teaching kids to make the lowercase "t" so short and stubby? Was anyone else taught this in school? I was always taught that "t" was a "top to bottom" letter when printing by hand.

Still the same problem... Huh. Weird.... Just tried it in ie and it works, though, so it's an issue with Chrome and not with the files. Thanks!

Hi, I thought I'd try kicking this off.  This is my introduction PowerPoint for Lesson One.  Nothing too fancy I'm afraid, just running through the key sentences.

Here's a rough lesson plan that I plan on trying out. Because the books are new and ppt. games will be hard to come by, I'm going to try more group work and running around activities.

I tried to post information for the first chunjae 2012 book a month ago, but it must of got lost in the portal.

PPT Games are rare, but the CD ROM has plenty of interactive activities included along with it.    Here is a detailed lesson that reviews future tense and selected vocabulary from the unit.

My co-teacher suggested I make some slides to explain the simple future tense in this lesson. This is what I made.

A ppt introducing the new characters.  Some of the pictures are a bit dodgy I'm afraid.

The following attachment is a Fruit Ninja Expression Bomb Game for Chapter One Review.     It reviews the main expressions and most of the chapters vocabulary.   Kudos for Daejeon for making the template.  ;D  Enjoy.

For some reason my CD ROMS aren't allowing me to access the Listen and Speak, Storys etc. It says "page not found" on the open book, and then "Info" when I try to select "Listen and Speak". Any advice? Please!

I have that issue on my computer, too. Unfortunately, I haven't found a fix... I suspect it's a problem with whatever version of flash you're running, but that doesn't help unless we can find out what version of flash would be needed. (I suspect it's whatever version comes pre-installed on Korean versions of Windows. Out of curiosity, are you running English or Korean windows?)

Do you have access to more than one computer? Lucky for me, the discs work in the classroom computers, so I just use them in there.

I made a short script for students to practice with. I have them split into groups of 2 and use the information in the table to fill in the information gaps. I have also included a PowerPoint Jeopardy to go along with this script. It covers people's phone numbers, some of the vocabulary from the unit and "xxxx live/s in xxxxx"

Comments are welcomed.

Simple PPT to introduce "Where do you live?" and good-bye expressions.  Really simple, lots of drilling, but it keeps the students' attention.

I've also attached sentences I used for a conversation scramble activity.  Cut the sentences into strips, and make sure to keep each conversation together.  (I used colored dots to make sorting easier.)  Each group of students gets a set of strips to unscramble.  You can have students write them out, race to finish, act out the scenes, or read them altogether, so it works if you have 5 or 15 minutes left in class.  I used 6 conversations for 4 groups so I would have enough to rotate in as students finished.
