3 page Worksheet I created with 6 different activities:

Word puzzle | Comic | English Sudoku | Word Search | Find the presents | Story maker

* To get the answers for the word puzzle just highlight the left column and change the font color from white to black. I just changed the color so it was ready to print but the answers are all there.

THE ANSWER TO THE COMIC IS: The elf-abet

This looks great, but one question (and I'm sure I'm going to feel really dumb when you tell me the answer), what is the answer to the joke in the cartoon at the bottom?

Hey guys,

I made a PPT about Christmas, and how we celebrate it in America.  It's got a brief history (as I recall it) of why it is celebrated, different traditions (Christmas trees, Lights, stockings, etc.), what we eat, and, of course, all about the Big Man himself, Santa Claus.  It's really photo heavy with little text because I plan to kind of wing it, but it could be easily adapted to fit any grade, and any level of students.  I'm using this for a teachers training class.

I'm going to use it in conjunction with a Christmas Game I found on Waygook.  Props to whomever posted it, it's pretty incredible.  You'll need to change the game to fit your presentation.

Thanks, this is wonderful. I think it may be a bit beyond my elementary students so I will be using it at middle school.

One minor tweak you may want to make is that Santa Claus is spelled without an 'e' at the end. Therefore thew answer is only ten letters, and not eleven. "The Santa Clause" was a 90s movie that played on the word 'clause' as in a contract.

Thanks so much! This movie is awesome!

Once a week, I teach an afternoon class of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. They have always been a handful, and I can't blame them. It's been a real challenge planning a lesson all three levels will enjoy. I taught with the Shrek movie today and it was like an entirely different class!

I broke the movie into small bits, and made a ppt and booklet to go with it. For class, we would watch a short bit with the Korean subtitles, then do the activities from the workbook, then watch again without the subtitles (a link to megavideo is at the end of the ppt). The first three bits were just about perfect for one class period. I'm going to continue the movie next week.

The movie seems to break clearly at the scene changes, but if you have any questions, please ask! And if people like this activity, I'll write up a more detailed lesson plan.

You need to have a program like Utorrent http://www.utorrent.com/downloads to download the file. Once you have that installed just go back and download the file or double-click on the one that you already have and it should start downloading right away. I hope that this helps.
