Grade 5 (deagyo Book) Where is the ball?
« Reply #1 on: April 19, 2012, 10:45:06 am »
Introduction sheet for kids to write in Korean.
Test 1 for the follow up class. I get them to write out each mistake 5 times to help drill and to practice writing (I am going to triumph over the r that looks like a v before I am done).

I will post a matching game later. Good Luck.

I'm always amazed at the vids my students like. This one went over really well.

This one is fun if you have extra time.

I also uploaded a few ppts others have made that pertain to this lesson.

Game for Section 2
« Reply #3 on: April 20, 2012, 08:29:15 am »
This is an idea I have for section 2 game. Just thought of it, maybe it'll work, who knows.

What you'll need:
*3 Cups labelled 1-3
*Dice (or a small ball or a wad of paper, whatever)

*Team 1 closes their eyes.
*I pick a student to hide the "dice" under one of the cups.
*'Team 1' opens their eyes.
*Everyone asks them the question: "Where is the dice?"
*They can either respond: "I have no idea.", or "It's under cup #__.".
*If they respond: "I have no idea.", they automatically get 1 point.
*If they choose to risk it and respond: "It's under cup #__." and get it right, they get three points. Wrong = minus 1 point.

Turns out the crazier kids/all-boys team were also the risk takers. And they ended up winning.

*I changed the rules after the first class (modified above)

Here's a review for period 2 and a reading board game that uses the cards from the back of the book.

I've also included a memory game for period 1 that I found/adapted from last years thread.

This is a writing test ppt. The kids have to fill in the blank using the pictures as a guide. The second last slide is a memory game. The students had to answer true or false after I read a statement e.g. the fork is next to the cake.

Story Time 2 - Hansel and Gretel.

Totally nicked this idea from the amazing Tom Sawyer ppt earlier in the semester (thank you so much to the original poster - It's so difficult to make Storytime fun.)

If there's time I'm planning to do the disappearing dialogue section as a whiteboard game.

I did this topic the other day. Used the command game at the end. Put them into teams making a representitive from each team come to the front. I used a powerpoint to spit out a command, ie. 'put your pen in your shoe'. The first representative to do the action correctly woluld get a point. Then a new reprsentatives would go up to do a new action, ie. 'jump over your book' as stated in the powerpoint. They loved it..

A matching game for powerpoint. I have a small class so i make 2 teams and get one to ask the question e.x "Where is the cat" other team answers "It's next to the dog" etc etc. I got the template last year but i can't remember who made it, so thanks to them who they are.

Just made my PPT for 4-1
Make sure you adjust the file, I didn't delete the pages that came with the basic platform. Still thinking if I could add something on it.
Took me a while working on it.
I started digging into PPT after coming back from GEPIK orientation.
I can't make fancy PPTs like Mr. Johan Young does, but I will start working on it though lol.
Also thanks for that dice game. I will try that on the second period
Also I did add up some pages from the previous PPTs uploaded by others, thanks
