Let's try this again... Sorry, I forgot to attach the PPT. As many of you I'm sure are finding this chapter challenging, here's an intro I have put together covering the key phrases using holidays as well as other every day stuff. It is an intro for Day 1 and review of key phrases on Day 2. I put a lot of effort into it so I hope you enjoy it.

Here's a matching game using the vocabulary from the first two periods. I edited an existing matching game to make it, so thanks to the original creator!

I've also made a Hidden Pictures game for this lesson. I edited an existing template.

here's a ppt for lesson 4, Read and Write.  It has the Korean and English names and dates of the main holidays of the year, and an example.  Helps them choose one to write about.

I wasn't sure where to put this review Jeopardy game. It's for chapters 9-11. I did not create the original template for this (not sure who did), but it's really simple, and I hope it can be of some use!

Two activities:
First, a a writing station activity that students really enjoy doing, and it does get the to write.  Since my sixth graders have six teams, the activity has six stations, and students rotate between them.  Therre is a timer for three minutes, so with time to settle in between, the activity will take 21 or more minutes.   The format came from j.jeune, and I have adapted it a bit.  REMOVED

Second, a different format of Last Man Standing, based on the one posted by katiehue, using the generality of my classroom of six teams with four students each.  The final round gets one winner from the six standing.  It includes two games.REMOVED

An intro ppt I made this week, and a 7 question Catch the sentence game (The animations on the one posted above weren't working right for me, so it's just an edit of that).

Thanks! I modified the catch the sentence game further and used it with groups of four writing their sentences on Whiteboards. Except for the tables in the back, the kids were into it. We warmed up for the game with "Reading Pong." Pairs read a selection together, each reading every other word. After they practiced for a few minutes, I used the stop watch on my phone to clock them and post times to the board. The rest of the PPT you might want to toss.
