If you're having issues with the timestamps showing up at times that don't correlate to your timezone, simply go to your profile and make the change.  You can set this to auto-detect and it will work fine.  Here is how to do it, in the menu go to:

Profile -> Look and Layout -> Time Offset (click auto-detect)  then save by clicking [change profile] button.
