Hi! I figured I'd upload my PPT of lesson 7 in case anyone needs it. I tried to copy J Harris's format. Mine's not as good but better than nothing
Also, it's probably ghetto but I made a mad libs WS using expressions and grammer from lesson 7. Also included a file that is a memory game and uses vocab words from lesson 7, where students get into groups of 3 and take turns flippings 2 cards at a time, having to match the vocab word with it's corresponding picture. They keep going in turn flipping over cards until they get a match and keep the match. Which ever student has the most at the end wins. I haven't played it with my students yet so I don't know if it's any good but added the file in case anyone is interested in using it.

Hey guys,
Here's the first half of my lesson for chapter 7. Again, largely ripped off from JHarris (thanks a ton!). Changes/additions from that lesson listed below...
Lesson 7A:
Added alternate expressions for the key phrases of the chapter. Added some bonus idioms related to luck (and thus, keeping our fingers crossed). Added some sweet pictures of lucha libre since we've got some wrestlers at our school. Added a simple charades game at the end. The game went well in about 80% of my classes. You may want to have something in mind as a backup for lower-level/quiet classes.
Lesson 7B:
Reviewed the expressions in addition to the bonus phrases I had on luck. Added some silly media related to the phrases I created cause... hamsters stuffing their gaping maws with tiny burritos makes everybody go "aww". Added family-feud style activity at the end. I split my class of forty up into groups of four to six. I gave them each about a minute to brainstorm and jot down a few answers, then I asked each group for a single answer. Once I got down to the last/most difficult answer, I would just let them raise their hands and try to answer to keep the game moving. This went over quite well.
Review:
Here's my review for lessons 6-7. My coteacher asked for it to be about a twenty minute lesson, so it's a bit short. Either way it covers: the main expressions, the vocabulary, and elicits a little bit of usage from the students.
EDIT:
Corrected some mistakes, added a video at the end of one of the GIF's that the kids particularly liked.

Thank you all so much!
I have 3 schools (all teach from different textbooks) and I literally have no time to make my own powerpoints. It's not how I want it but it must be so.
Thank you thank you thank you !

Awesome trailer for the Rio Paralympics to start of the chapter. The song is called "Yes I can!".

Adapted from earlier posts on this thread - thanks to the contributors!
Part 1 = Dialog - I used 2 activities. Printed out the dialog sentences, cut them up and then had them in teams putting it in the correct order. Also a listening gapfill.
Part 2 = PPT (game in next attachment)
2017 updates
*I cannot attach the ppts for some reason so will try again later*[/b]
Part 1 - Morse code challenge taken from [Part2 game] attachment added in
Part 2 - Ninja Warrior warm up video (pause before each challenge and get them to guess using the ppt vocab), Morse code dialogue challenge added at the end

Part 2
File was too large to include it as part of the part 2 PPT
I made a game based on the one in the textbook. Music is embedded on the slides. There is also an example of what Morse code sounds like - if the embedded music hasn't stopped playing at this point then just come out of the slide then click on it again.
Morse code sheets attached. I have whiteboards that made from paper/laminating pouches I use a whiteboards for the answers.
The Morse code challenges go down really well and get even the ones that don't speak much English involved.

Thanks for the hard work nbb but one thing, where? I would like to try this Morse Code activity but I do not see the sheets or how to explain it to them.

If you open the G3L7 Yes you can [Part 2 game] attachment everything is on there. Guessing game with the ship picture, then use the morse code alphabet sheet for the rest of it. It might not be perfect so just mix it up however it works for you.
Morse code alphabet sheet is attached on the earlier post
