Just a collection of images i got from a website (male and female fashion). Prompt students with questions, "what is he wearing" "what is she wearing"
Attached is a vocabulary list - i just went through each one with the class and got them to write them down.
Then you can print and cutout the people and play many different types of games (e.g. celebrity heads where students are given a picture and the class has to ask that person if they are wearing a 'blue shirt' or 'orange pants' etc etc until they can guess the right one.

This is for the first part: describing people
Presentation
A bunch of pictures with with the description partially hidden. Prompt the students to give you the answers and when they get it, click the box to reveal the phrase. There's a teacher's cheat sheet at the end.

Game
This is sort of family fued style. Team one describes some aspect of the person. If their response is on the board, click the rectangle to display it and then click the rectangle next to it to display how many points they get for their guess. Each team gets one chance to guess per round. There's a teacher cheat sheet for the game at the end of the presentation.

We then move onto a game, called the 'Favours Survey'.

Epistemology - thanks for this. It looks like a great game. I've just been told to use the can/can't part of the lesson for my open class next week, this will be a good intro game.

Definitely borrowed a lot but here is my mix and match of unoriginal content compiled in a new way.

I have attached a page of descriptions - work in groups of 4, hand each group one description and a piece of paper to sketch. At the end, all groups need to present their picture in front of the class by reading their description. (total 15-20 minutes for a class of 28)

I extended the levels for some groups by asking them to also describe the other parts of the picture not mentioned in the original description, where the sketchers used their discretion (e.g. what about his eyes? He has big, brown eyes).

This worked very well with my first graders.

My classes really enjoyed this lesson.  The presentation portion is short: introduce asking favors using "Can you ...?"  I do a Pass the Pencil activity which my classes really enjoy.  The Favors Game was a huge hit - instructions are in the Lesson Plan.  Descriptions Memory was also enjoyable, but requires a bit of printing and laminating ahead of time.

I've included the audio files for the Pass the Pencil and Listen & Speak sections.  Be sure to save these in the same directory as the PPT and everything should work fine.  Some of the slides in the Favors Game have personal images or references; you'll need to change those to fit your class.  As always, some slides may have comments; more information available there and in the lesson plan.

PJblake, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for your lessons...Its VERY VERY well structured. It's simple and efficient....My girls (all girls private school) has so much fun. Nothing is laborious and everything just flows.

I also love how you maintain consistency throughout all the presentations, Not fluffing it with various  PPT themes thus removing potential noise...hats off to you Sir.

My co-teacher asked me to do a lesson on Present Progressive based on the Grammar part of the text book. If anyone else needs to do this here you go! 

We watch the video when you get to the blank slide. I thought it would be a fun way to introduce the sentence before they learn how to make it.

Matching activity; kids get a character's picture and a description (I cut the cards up so it's pictures in one stack and descriptions in another). I removed my personal one, so you could add your own personal description there. Some of the descriptions could possibly work with other than their intended card, but I would just tell the kids that it's right but there's another one they should find.
