Section for lesson plans by books?
« on: March 02, 2011, 08:32:50 am »
I know that a lot of people put up lesson plans and many of them are great but sometimes it is hard to find something for a specific textbook, especially for middle school.  Is there a way that we can have a subcategory under lesson plans that is just the title of the book and people can upload lesson plans accordingly to the book?  I think that this will help everyone locate lessons and share them effectively.

Thanks,
Alex

Have you noticed the pinned threads in the middle school forum?

Those are all textbooks. The mods have been really good about catching threads of the common textbooks and pinning them so they appear at the top of the forum page permanently.
Before you create a thread, remember waygook.org has a search engine! Please help keep the redundancy down. Do a little research of your own before making a thread in case the information is already available.

Lessons from the textbook are pretty simple. But getting ideas from someone never harmed anyone.

try searching first depending on the level you're teaching

Is there a way to have the books arranged in a non-forum format, like a wiki or something that can be updated and added to by the members? A naive question, probably.

I'll look into this after the update that will fix the issue when downloading with firefox.  It's certainly possible, especially seeing how big the textbook sections have gotten.  I think the main problem will be with the organization, but we'll see.
