Here is a power point I just did with my students.  They seemed to enjoy it.  I also showed them  youtube clips of each disaster.  Also, had a fill in the blank work sheet to use with it.

Lesson plan looks really good. I like the worksheet idea. What grade level did you do this for? Do you think it would be to hard for middle school first grade?

I changed a few things from the original post of the powerpoint and added some video clips. I threw in how things are measured, too like the Richter Scale, and the Hurricane and Tornado categories.

I planned to do the Battle Ship game, too but ran out of time.

I've been using this game to accompany my lesson this week.  I teach at an all boys middle school.  The older students have told me that they don't like Doraemon but they still have fun with it.  The younger students sing along with the song at the beginning of the game.  I would say it's a hit all in all.  Thanks to the OP for taking so much time to make it!

I did this last semester with my second grade middle schoolers, but my KT liked it so much that we ended up doing it with the 1st and 3rd graders too. 

There is a PPT running through all sorts of extreme weather - there are several video clips as well to help demonstrate. 

There is a slide asking how many of the kinds of weather I have been in - the students were fascinated at that...one of them called me "Girl Hulk."

Then there is a typhoon game (too perfect not to use).  There are a couple of questions in the game pertaining to the slide in the other PPT about how many of them I have been in so please remember to change them around or you will confuse your students.

Same thing, just spruced it up a lot. Read the NOTES section on slide #2.
I didnt say much about the Richter scales and whatnot. I just let them know there was a different system of measuring for each disaster.

I added videos. The links are on the very bottom of each slide. My students liked the tornado one; they laughed. yay.

One of the slide had the word  "duck" in it so I also added a video demonstrating the verb "duck."

I added a picture of a funnel so they know what the heck you are talking about.

I added a slide that showed where hurricanes, typhoons, and cyclones occur.

Used this on 3rd and 2nd grade middle school. Just simplified it even more for the 2nd graders. Practiced speaking by repeating after me.

I then had 2 worksheets you can use, one was the cloze exercise based on the slides....someone posted on here. And the other worksheet that I found at my school had 2 activities; matching the photo to the corresponding natural disaster and "natural disaster survival plan" where students picked a disaster and chose 4 items they need to survive.
