Fact of Fiction? Guessing Bomb Game (Mr. Bean themed)
« on: March 21, 2013, 04:33:42 PM »
Just finished a second version of my Mr. Bean fact/fiction game

Really simple game:
-Show the picture on the slide.
-Ask each team to decide if it is "real" or "fake"
- If their answer matches the one on the screen then give that team a point,.
-After 5 rounds there is a bonus slide. Each team will take a turn to choose one mystery box. (determine turn order by highest points or rock / paper / scissors )

This is a fun filler-game / after school game. Worked really well with all my classes.
Good for 2 - 6 teams.

Attached is Ver1. and Ver2 - Each game has different pictures.

This looks amazing, didn't even realize who created it but now I am not surprised

Trying to develop a lesson to proceed the game and make it feel smooth and educational.

I've played this twice so far. Once in after school and once as a filler lesson. The kids loved it. I am definitely going to be adapting this and using it in future classes. Thanks!

Does this fill a 45 minute class? Will be testing it this afternoon.

Thank you for this really cool ppt! The Mr Bean gifs are so funny! I am sure my students in the after school class will love.

Just one thing.
Perhaps it is better if the answers are either "fact" or "fiction. Some slides, the answers were "fake" or "false" or "true". If they are all either "fact" or "fiction" then the answer is easier to remember.
But I can understand that perhaps you wanted to demonstrate the synonyms of fact: true, and fiction: false, fake etc.

Anyways, a great ppt! Wonderful work! ;D

Yes you're right.

In my original version I only had "fact" and "fiction" but in the later versions someone updated it with other synonyms on waygook and I was too lazy to change it.
My students are familiar with the game now. It didn't really bother them but might confuse others so feel free to change it if you want to.
