Updating Indexes
« on: May 31, 2013, 12:31:16 pm »
Over the summer, I'm going to try to update the Grade 3, 4, 5, 6 indexes, and clean up the Elementary boards.

However, I haven't been in Korea for over a year.  So, a few questions:

1. Are there any new Elementary textbooks?  (I saw the Happy House Grade 4 textbook and will be adding it to the index soon).

2. Anything need to be merged together?

3. Any broken links?

4. Any links need to be added?

5. Anything important that should be added to an index?

I'm not exactly sure if this is the right place to post about this but...

Grade 5 Elementary Textbook Index - Book 7
Title: 영어5/6
Publisher: 미래엔 (Mirae-En)
First Listed Korean Author: 이재관

The above textbook is missing 3 links. The missing links are for lessons 10-12.
The textbook is pretty horrible and there aren't many resources so I am sure anyone who uses this textbook would appreciate the links/materials. I have made some material that I would like to post for those lessons but I am not sure how/where to post currently.
I have already posted one Lesson 11 PPT under the 'Book 7' link because I didn't know where else to put it.

Thanks for your help!

I received 2 new textbooks for Grades 3 and 4.  They said they'll add the new versions for 5 and 6 next year.

They're 천재교육  by Ujin Jun (and the 함순애) is highlighted in all the other writers' names.
The grade 3 books is blue (mostly) and the grade 4 book is green (mostly).

Some of us have already begun posting lessons for them in the elementary links.

As far as I'm aware, ALL textbooks for grades 3 and 4 elementary will be new this year (as will be the case for grades 5 and 6 next year). Most of the older materials that have been collected on this site can still be used since the topics are mostly the same, but if they can be re-organized and labelled, it would save everyone a lot of time.

Yeah on the "index of everything" lesson plan page (http://www.waygook.org/index.php/topic,7649.0.html) the 3rd grade and 4th grade links are broken..

My school is using the new Daekyo English books for grades 3 and 4. Grade 3 has a yellow cover with an elephant, a monkey, a mouse on a unicycle and some kids (circus theme).
Grade 4 is green and has a lion and some kids doing magic on the front.
Thanks for updating and hope this helps!

Last year I also posted some lessons under lesson 11 because there was nowhere to upload for lessons 10,11 or 12. Can someone please please make an active link for those chapters?

New Grade 4 Index http://www.waygook.org/index.php/topic,70393.0.html

Daekyo StoryTime 1 Review 2 need links

New Grade 3 Index http://www.waygook.org/index.php/topic,70389.0.html

Daekyo StoryTime 1 and Review 2 need links

Grade 5 Index http://www.waygook.org/index.php/topic,1412.0.html

Daekyo Storytime 1-8 need links, but I'm not sure if it matters when there's new textbooks coming next year..

Also, I think that Grade 3 and 4 indexes should also have the key expressions written underneath the links like in the 5th and 6th grade textbook indexes so people would be able to see what subjects other textbooks would have in common and be able to explore the threads his/herself

Thank you woodsworth English.

The PC Bang is NOT funny, kids.

I'm fully aware that I could get some flak for "being uptight," but is there a way to update the index board to say "Textbook-Based Lessons" instead of "Texbook-Based Lessons"? Not only is it an annoying typo to look at every single time, but this is a website for English teachers. A glaring mistake is a poor reflection on all of us.

If it messes with the filepath, I understand, and my complaint is a moot point. I'm sure it was an honest mistake to begin with. But if it's possible, could this be fixed?  Thanks mods!
