LESSON 5 MATERIALS - WHAT'S THAT? (Cameron Wood)
« Reply #4 on: March 11, 2011, 10:16:15 am »
An introduction or practice PPT and two fun cartoon videos you can use to practise "What's this / that?" as a type of look and listen. I've also attached a hidden puzzle game, which isn't mine. Thanks to "wretchard".

The Pororo bomb game is a short game that I estimate will take 10-15 minutes.
The Spongebob bomb game is a longer version, which will take most of the lesson.
The Mario Pass the Ball game is a short game focusing on correct use of "a" and "an."

A video to practise "What's that?" "That is a / an ..." + animals.

LESSON 7 MATERIALS - HOW MANY PUPPIES? (Cameron Wood)
« Reply #7 on: March 11, 2011, 10:30:11 am »
flashcards, introduction, a musical chairs game and a cartoon Gogo video.

I've also attached a hidden puzzle game, which isn't mine. Thanks to "wretchard". It doesn't cover "how many" but would be useful as a quick wam-up at the start of the lesson to revise animals.

An introduction PPT, pass the ball, a Simpsons game (like a bomb game) and a story called "No, David". I've included the story in it's original version and also an adapted version, tailored to this lesson. Thanks also to the creater of the  wonderful "very simple intro story" whose name I've forgotten unfortunately.

Here's a very simple drawing template.

I have the Ss draw family portraits and talk about them with their partners.  Volunteers can present to the class.  The Ss can also label the members of their family if they have writing ability.

this bomb is awesome!!! I've used with my kids who are usually not so attentive and probably could care less and they just ate it up.  It's great to review the other material and introduce new material.  I plan on using this to help students remember what they learn as we continue on in the book.  Thank you so much for posting this.
