I think I pm'd a staffer several weeks back, though I may be mis-remembering. What's the process (and also, shouldn't this be added to the FAQ)?

I can delete your account if that's what you wish. We don't typically do, even in the case of bans to avoid users deleting their account before we can trace their IP and such.

It's very useful esp. in cases where a user tries to send spam PMs or threats. It has happened, so it's an extra measure we had to take with the volume of active users on the site.

Is it possible to delete my waygook.org profile?

I set up this profile more than a year ago, on my wife's email address, she wants to get her own account now on her email.

How will I go about to get her, her own profile name and profile?

I am not mad ( I have no reason), I am just hurt please help me to delete. I am not yet qualified to pm you. Thank you.

Arsalan, the post this commenter is referring to is here. The OP was simply asking for advice on dealing with a co-worker, but others starting making rude and unnecessary comments about some very small English mistakes in the post.

I don't know how admin deals with stuff like this, but I hope something can be done.

Thank you very much. . I just thought that this site is for all foreigners because that is in the introductory remarks of this site. Maybe I misunderstood because my English is very bad and it did not passed the criteria of this site. It was also my fault because I assumed that my english is good enough to be understood. Thank you for the good and not so good comments. I learned a lesson today. I assumed too much kindness from everyone but I felt the hostility of others instead.

This makes me very sad. You're welcome here, please ignore the loud minority who are saying these things. Some of them are in similar situations to yourself (bad work life, not enjoying Korea), and they come on here to vent their anger. It sometimes results in things like this.

Your English is fine, people make errors on here, and this board is filled with people teaching English. If we can understand you (which we can), it's good enough for a public forum.

Oxenaries, I can see very easily that your English is fluent and I was easily able to understand everything you said. You just made a very few small mistakes that indicate you are not a native speaker. You should be proud that your level of English is so high. People were unnecessarily rude, and I guess they just assumed that everyone on Waygook is a native English teacher. However on reading your full post I was able to surmise that you are not an English teacher, and that you are a foreigner working in an office setting in Korea.

People on Waygook can be very mean and negative at times, and I don't think you should take it personally. You reached out for help with an issue and some people gave you good advice. Please just ignore the rudeness of a few of the people who posted replies. People can be horrible when they have a keyboard to hide behind!

Waygook should welcome all foreigners in Korea, not just English teachers.
