Iphone games
« on: November 06, 2013, 02:49:38 PM »
My kids have been asking about a cookie run game if anyone has made it. In the mean time I changed the annoying oranges game I found on Waygook into a Plants VS Zombies bomb game. :) enjoy

Not sure how to upload so its on google docs as public :)

When you are writing your post it says "Attachments and other options" under the white text box. Click that and it will expand.

You'll see attach. Just hit choose file and then it will upload when you hit post.

I made this cookie run game (basically the same as Mario, since that was always my fav but with the cookie run theme) a few months ago because my students and I all kind of love that game. Sorry I didn't see this thread as I don't come to waygook very often, but hopefully this still helps someone.

Couple things to note:
-I accidentally saved over my blank template so this is one that already has some questions and answers, but obviously it's not hard to change to your own.
-The images aren't the best since it's actually quite hard to find cookie run pictures online so there was a lot of screenshotting from my phone.
-This is not updated for the new winter version of cookie run, but I doubt if the kids will care too much.
-The menu screen where you choose the numbered jelly employs the invisible box method, so if you want to jumble the jellies, best to do so by changing the hyperlinks and not trying to drag things around.

Anyway, my kids love it. They did request that I add some items to bonus time that allow them to switch points with another team, so I plan to do that before next time.

I heard one of the kids in my apartment block raving about Cookie Run and checked it out. I found some stickers in the shop and bought a couple of sheets. I thought I might check here for games to see what people had made (hoping for one of Daejeon's great games, actually) and saw this post, noticing the comment about the images being hard to find.

Soooooo... I scanned the sticker sheet, and pasted the scan into photoshop. I separated each character, each pet, the giftboxes, and the banner, into separate photoshop layers. One quick batch export saved all layers as individual png image files. I imported them into powerpoint, with each image nearly filling a whole slide. I then scaled them down so they are all closer to a useable size for games and so on. Being png images, they are higher quality than jpegs. That means higher file size, but less problems with pixelation and so on when resizing.

I also included a lo-res screencap of the whole sheet, but that's probably unnecessary for game-makers. It might be useful for something else like "circle all the cookies with blue hair" or "how many cookies have hats on?"

Anyway, I hope someone finds this useful.

Does anybody know a game called "crazy song title guess", an Iphone game. I am wondering if there is one in this forum. If not, maybe we can try to make one. It is very competitive!    If you don't know what it is all about. Check it out there: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/crazy-guess-song-hottest-most/id717803909?mt=8

The hyperlinks on the B U S slide (slide 53) don't seem to be working. How would I go about fixing this? Thanks in advanced!
