Unit 5 Part 1
I have attached my lesson plan and activities for listen and speak one. I started with a Bingo warm up ... it got my typically sluggish grade twos a bit more excited about English class! Then I presented the material on the board, and finished with Whispers (see lesson plan). I'm a big fan of Whispers, the kids really get into it and the game involves saying the target sentences multiple times. They try to cheat quite a bit, but you can always tell them that anyone caught cheating will loose points. I didn't have time for the sentence game (credit for the writing game goes to a fellow waygook).

MCprotea, Thank you so much for uploading your lessons every week. They've really helped me out when I've been stuck for ideas. You are a lifesaver!!
Just a note, when I played whispers with my students, I found that forcing them to line up their chairs and sit down and play the game forces them to behave better and limits the ability to cheat. I did a race with 3 groups of 8 students.

PPT and worksheet for Unit 5 Listen and Speak 1.
I'm going to start with review of the key expressions "Let's... / Why don't we..." for making plans from grade 1, then brainstorm some plans.
Then I'll introduce the key expressions, and use the slides in the PPT to practice them as a class.
When we complete the worksheet, the lower level students may copy the first dialogue out, only changing the time and the place for dialogue 2 & 3. I'll have the higher level students create their own dialogues by mixing and matching the key expressions (Let's... / Why don't we... / Can you make it at... / How about meeting at...).
Once students have completed the worksheets I'm going to have students stand up in pairs and use the worksheet to have a conversation and make an appointment.
We will then create two completely new conversations as a class, and practice them.
We will then complete the bookwork.
Then I think I'll try the 'whispers' activity MCprotea posted (props to you).

I used a minecraft ppt bomb game to go with Listen and Speak part 2, but it also has questions for Part 1 and 4 questions about Chapter 4- (Do you know how to/ Thank you for). My kids went nuts over this game. I usually made a rule where the entire group has to repeat the answer so not only one student is answering the entire time. If you have a particularly good or high level class you can have all the other students read the question to the answering group.
I'm also attaching my lesson plan and ppt for the class. But my ppt is pretty freaking ugly at the moment, but I figured I'd upload in case anybody runs into an emergency situation. Honestly, I ditched my ppt and just used the board for a few of my classes. It's pretty short and not really necessary.

Listen and Speak part 2 - Hobbies
Hi, I have attached my lesson plan and materials for part 2. The presentation instructions are in the lesson plan (the "presentation" ppt is really just to help with the last game).
I start with pictionary, then use the drawings to talk about hobbies. Then we do the textbook, a human bingo and lastly I play running dictictarion (insanely successful activity!! And it has the bonus of focusing on all four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking).

Here's my PPT and game that I did for Listen & Speak 2.
The PPT is done in 올리버's style since he uses such a beautiful format (thank you so much for all those PPT's that you have posted!). Translations are all straight from the book, so they should be legit.
As for the game, I used someone else's Snakes & Ladders game that was posted for Lesson 4 and adapted it to this lesson. I just had them take turns drawing a card, reading it, and moving that many places on the board. Climb up ladders and slide down snakes.
The 2nd and 4th slide are the backs of the cards that I use when I them print double sided, you can delete those and just have white-backed cards if you want. Also, the 3rd slide needs to be printed 1/3 as many times as the 1st slide (since it repeats the same cards), and the game board is on the 5th slide.

Part A
- I first had students fill out an imaginary week plan, then get into pairs and make 3 plans with their partners, using the dialogue structure. Ended off with a speed game (speed games always go down a hit in my all-girls middle school). They either had to write down the digits for the times I gave them, put the unscrambled sentences in order, or do a running dictation and write the sentences in order. For some reason only one of the running dictations is left in the .word file, but easy enough to make new ones.
Part B
- we worked through the textbook and did the worksheet as usual, then ended off with the hobbies / sports / famous people hotseat game

For 5.1 I did a bit of the book and some Powerpoint questions (15 minutes). The rest was spend in playing Running Dictations, which was great.
For 5.2, (I haven't done it yet) I plan to go over the last class review (in the powerpoint) and do some of the book activities in about 10 minutes. My kids hate the book and won't do the talking activities in the book anyways.
Then, we'll play a Giant Bingo Game (got the template from another waygookin), where they choose 25 words (out of 45) and write them in their Bingo sheets. When everyone has chosen the words we'll start the actual Bingo. The first 3 people to scream bingo will get points (for my reward system).
Then, I'll collect the Bingo sheets and with those same 45 words I'll play timed charades. The student acting has to go through 5 words in 1 minute to get a reward point.
