zip-zap
students get into a circle. Teacher stands in the middle. If the teacher says “zip”, point to a student with both hands together. Students say whats your name? that student will say “my name is _.”
if you say “zap,” move hands apart and to the side. That means students will introduce themselves to neighbor.
If you say “zip-zap” students change places.

this will be better if you can split the class in half with your coteacher.

Here's an introductory PPT and an easy, easy game to play. I coupled this with an introduction lesson about myself and a song. Plus the book work.

Remember to replace my picture with yours on the introduction PPT!

The game is pretty simple. Have the kids GENTLY throw two balls around the classroom. When you stop the music, have each students read the sentence on the PPT. Then continue tossing the ball.

I usually make them pass it hand to hand and then make them speak automatically if they throw it. I find it prevents those few jokers from throwing too hard.

Pokemon Bomb game. Taken from a previous book & replaced the characters with the new ones. Probably could use a little further editing. Thanks to the original maker.

this is a game for READING called "What's behind?". There are 12 colored boxes, and each group reads a sentence or word, and the teacher clicks the box. if there is candy behind the box, that team gets that many points. no candy, no points. easy peasy.
