Last year I couldn't figure out what to do with the song so my students just learned to sing the song. I tried this in class today as our listening activity for part 1, and it was a huge hit! Here's how I did it:1. Play the song so the students can listen (don't show the video).2. Give each student a card and tell them they cannot speak once they've received the card.3. Play the song again and the students walk around and quietly try to find their matching food/day partners. When they are sure they have formed their group they come to the teacher and the teacher seats each group in their seating section (they sit in order of the days).4. Watch the video and sing the song as CurlyQue did. Except whenever it was "All you hungry children come and eat it up" all of the students sang together.Great idea! However my co, as usual with any idea I have, didn't like it so I couldn't teach it. Just needed to rant.

If you have a small enough class here is one game:Duck, duck, goose only with days of the week. Instead of saying, "Duck, duck, duck..." they say, "Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc." At "goose" replace it with "today."
