Let is Snow Lyrics English and Korean

May not pertain compeletly to the subject matter but my fours LOVE to sing. Most of them beg to learn a new pop song every lesson and they can do it. A few listens and they've got the chorus down. Most of them go home and learn the rest on their own.

So for fun because of the holiday season I put this lyric sheet together for them (my co usually makes them), she proofread this and made corrections on the translations. But have yours look them over first just to be safe. . . maybe I uploaded the wrong version, who knows. We used it in the fourth period since there was no showtime.

Here is a past tense wordsearch from www.bogglesworldesl.com

Students write the past verb on the line and that's the word they search for.  The students needed some help with the irregulars so the answer key was on the screen for them to reference.

Hope it is helpful for someone!

Here are some materials for this lesson.

Period One PPT:

-Dice Game with instructions (edited from another thread, thanks to the original poster!)
-Baskin' Robbins Game with instructions (thank you Susie88 for posting that on this thread!)

For a future class:

The Uno materials are not my own, but edited from another thread.  Thank you to the original poster!

For period 2 I created this speed speaking game:

1) Each student receives one table and one (secret!!!) activity.

2) They are put into teams.

3) They then go around individually throughout the class asking; "What did you do yesterday?"

4) Each time they find a new activity they tick the box.

5) First team with all 7 boxes ticked by each individual student is the winner.

This game works well as it has them quite excited and using the vocabulary confidently at speed.

My students really enjoy playing girls vs. boys, so I split them into two groups, had them line up in front of the TV and do a "standoff." I provided them with sleeping masks that they had to put on and couldn't take off until they heard the gunshot go off. Once the gun goes off (sound effect on slides), they take off their masks and look at the TV Screen-whoever says the phrase correctly first gets a point for their team. It takes about 10 minutes to play and it gets the class really quiet since they have to listen for the gunshot.

I hope the music and sound effect work but if not, here are the sound files as well.

Enjoy!

These are modified versions of things posted above.

My school doesn't like to do anything with reading/writing for first two periods in a lesson. I therfore changed the baskin robbins game so that they were pictures rather than words. The powepoint I modified can be used with the game (all the pictures are the same).

fighting!

Print the last slide for the students to cut out.   They can glue the pictures onto a 3X3 bingo board.  I printed the bingo board from the following link:

Disappearing Pictures (motivation and/or review)- Directions in first slide. Have students guess what the key expression is while the image is slowly uncovered.

Here's my PPT for this class.  Since we started this lesson after the New Year vacation, we had a very brief recap at the start of some past tense verbs.  After doing 'Look and Say', 'Listen and Repeat' and 'Song' from the textbook, I used the PPT to help explain 'Talk Together' and 'Speak and Play'.

I added a twist to Talk Together by turning it into a guessing game.  The students really enjoyed this!
