Here is an activity for the READ ABC section where students have to guess letter M, N, O or P. When students see slide I make the sound of the letter and the students guess what letter. Students then say the letter, the sound, and the word.

By now, the students have learned all the letters in BINGO, so here's the classic Bingo song :) You can have your students sing it if they're good enough, but saying the letters and clapping is just as good. Use it as a warm-up or a time filler at the end of class.

And keeping with the spirit of Bingo, here's a Bingo game. The first game is only a 2x2 grid. Students choose upper or lower case M-P. The teacher will say "big/small" + letter. If the students have that letter, they DON'T cross it out. Instead, they write the letter again next to it. This game is designed to reinforce writing on the correct lines. You need all four of your letters called to win.

Game 2: 3x3 grid, choose from upper or lower case I-P. You need an "X" to win.

Game 3: 3x3 grid, choose from lower case a-p. (Students will need to erase the previous game.) This time, the teacher should make the SOUND of the letter followed by a word that starts with that letter. You need all outside edges to win. Play this version as many times as you like.

This worked really well for me today. Thank you for sharing.

Hey guys, here's a bomb game I made using a template I found on this website.  I used some pictures from a vocabulary ppt I found in this thread, so you may recognize a few pictures used in it.  My kids played it today and really liked.

Intro PPT and Review PPT

Also, I've gone ahead and attached the song I like to use for this lesson. The kids LOVE it! It's catchy and fun ^^ MapleLeafLearning is a great source for ESL kid songs. Check them out on youtube if you haven't already.

And lastly, I played this fun "2 Hamster, 1 Wheel" video as a little fun treat. It's funny and I like to ask, "Is the hamster fast or slow?" at the end of video and they all yell, "FAST!!!"
Happiness is a choice.

3.4.1 LISTENING
* Pictures and gifs for vocab intro, included short and slow. They get distracted by the hamster gifs so got a screen with them frozen for review.
* Comprehension O or X questions and dialogue memory slides for Look and Listen.
* Eraser Game: 2 Ss with hands on their head and eraser between them. Look at the TV and then the teacher says some key expressions, when she says the right expression grab the eraser. First to grab is the winner, students are out if they touch the eraser when the teacher didn't say the right animal/adjective.

3.4.2 SPEAKING
* Dialogue memory slides for Look and Say.
* GAME: Charades. Students in groups of four, one set of cards from back of the book. Take it in turns to be S1: holds card over S2's head. S2 guesses. S3+4 act to get S2 to guess it. Not really a game in that there is no winner (unless you did a race between the teams but they enjoy charades so much, you don't really need it).

3.4.3 MNOP
* GAME: Each S in group of 4 gets the 8 cards from the back of the book. Each round all Ss put one down turn their cards and say what they are. If two students match then they write the letter in their books and get a point.

Here are all my materials for lesson 4. I only taught parts 2 and 3--my co-teacher taught the other two.

3.4.2 Review/warm up: see if students can remember the dialogue from the previous lesson. Game: Pass the pencil case. It's practically the game from the book. I used a bell to signal when students stop passing the case.

3.4.3 Review/warm up: see if students can remember the dialogue from the previous lesson. Guess the animal--I give three hints and students guess which of the animals I'm thinking of. Game: It's the game from the book but instead of using cards I put pictures in the ppt.

Here's a Studio Ghibli bomb game. This is similar to the one posted previously, but I changed what some of the letters do because my students had memorized them from playing another verion of this game. Thanks to the original posters and creators.
