Has anyone cashed a US Treasury check out here?  Is it possible?

I just got one, too. I'm going to take it to KEB next week and see if they'll let me deposit it in my account.

Not sure if this helps, but some banks now use pics from smart phones to deposit checks (American banks).  Or some let you scan a check and submit it for deposit. Try Capitalone 360 online banking, it is a free no fee on-line bank. You have to have an USA address though.

Good luck!

With regard to the remote check deposit thing, if you really want to get the money into your Korean account, but still have an account back home, you may find it preferable to deposit the money remotely then wire the money here.

Sure, that'll take some out in wire transfer fees, but depositing a check here usually takes a month or so from what I've heard. Taking out $20-30 in fees may be better in that you can get it in a few days max rather than a month...

I did a couple years ago and it took the normal month for the funds to get into my account.
