Jobs lesson

I just did this lesson today. Most of the kids know jobs like "police officer, teacher, doctor, etc." so I specifically covered jobs I knew they didn't know the names of. I also wanted to stress the fact that certain jobs are not gender specific, so the ppt has a good mix of men and women . The song is great because it reviews the jobs they know and covers about six in the powerpoint. It also has korean subtitles.

I also made a crap ton of worksheets for this lesson of varying degrees of difficulty since I'm using this with 1st and 2nd grade. Also, Mario jeopardy. Enjoy!

I also add Korean subtitles, as I see you did here. I don't feel that detracts at all; the kids are still learning the English, just with better understanding.

I thought the song was awesome and the PPT seemed decent, so I tried using it for 2nd grade but the kids already knew it all, so good. It was elementary to them and they weren't a particularly brilliant class.

I know this is an old thread but I just discovered it yesterday.

My students are pretty advanced so I tweaked the PPT to have jobs that they may not be familiar with. After going over the jobs on the PPT I asked them to name as many as they could that were not on the list.

I added a slide for 20 questions and printed it out so they could write down their questions. It may help to review how to properly ask Yes/No questions as I noticed some of the students made a few simple errors (i.e. using "Are they" instead of "Do they").

After they were finished the game I made a worksheet/question sheet for them to fill out and draw a picture of themselves in their future career. (I try to provide opportunities for my students to be creative when I can.)

This took up the full 45 minute class but I'd like for them to present as well. I have a pretty large class so that may take up a full class period as well.
