Wicked! Thanks for the link...bookmarked :) They even have directions as to how to get to the offices :)
I leave for the UK in a year - one of my co-workers is really supportive and so I am getting everything sorted before she leaves the job.I have made a reservation now for my departure to the UK, I am a UK resident. Is there anything else I can do and give to my co-worker to make the refund as easy as possible. The UK Tax Office has sent me paperwork today - so I will give this to her
Hey--thanks for all the info here about pension refunds, but I can't seem to find out when the right time to apply is. Can I go before my contract is up, or must I wait until it's finished? My contract is up on 14 June, can I go before that date to apply? Also, how long does it take to get the refund deposited into my account? Thanks in advance. (If this is basically a repost, I'm sorry....I just couldn't find the answer anywhere. Is there a search option that I'm missing?)

When the time comes, visit the National Pension Office with your passport, ARC, bank information, and ticket home. Here's a list of National Pension offices, with directions on how to find each one. http://wiki.galbijim.com/National_Pension_Offices
I don`t think that the overseas remittance form is the right form if you are looking for a lump sum refund. I was at the NPS yesterday and filled in the paperwork. They have one form for Canadians and another for Americans. The process is very easy. It only took about five minutes and the NPS worker showed me on the calendar when the money would be in my account and the amount (in won) I would be receiving. I think the remittance form is if you want to contribute from overseas. I could not find the right form online and got it at the NPS office.
