I tried these with my middle schoolers...

Ok I intended to do a game at the beginning of class with the most guessed in two minutes. My co teacher loved it so much...we ended up just doing all of them! That was Grade 1 (Low level). Grade 2 was the same, they really enjoyed them.

I tried it with my Grade 3 (low level) class though and they just did not get it at all...such a shame because all my other classes loved them :( I think they're just unreachable at the moment, they're aren't happy doing anything and have me pulling my hair out every lesson.

Because I ended up (unintentionally) doing these for like 20 minutes it was a nice break  for me after the horrendous week I've had in school! :) Massively appreciated thanks!

My Co teachers all LOVED them too and kept asking where I got them from :)

I wanna put up more. Just not sure who to get in contact with to ask for more memory on my account. I have 29 total. I asked one admin, guess I should ask all.

Here are 3 PDF's of these puzzles you can give your kids of the Dingbat puzzles if you don't want to use them as a warm up. The one that is around 4 pages lasts almost the entire period. I give them to around groups of 4 and will give them hints if they need them.

I've also attached an answers sheet for all 3 PDFs in case you get stuck as well.
