Here is a simple bingo game for this chapter. :)  My students like playing bingo and they especially like it if you award the first three students who get a bingo with a piece of candy.  Hope it is helpful!

I've made a Choose Your Own Adventure style Pokemon Go PPT that is working pretty well. The students like it anyhow. It focuses primarily on the stating preference portion of Chapter One. To a lesser extent, chores are mentioned as well. I hope this is helpful!

A sidenote: the slides in which students "Catch a Pokemon" require you to have a ball and a basket. If nothing else, you can use a crumpled up paper and a garbage bin. And don't click through. Use the buttons to go to the appropriate next page. The eevee evolution slide requires you to click on the eeveelution that the student "prefers", this shuffles the pokeballs and makes them choose again at random.

Whoops! I downloaded the unedited and without music version. I've updated! I couldn't find any wav files for the individual pokemon roars but if you have them go ahead and attach!

Here is my version of the Mr. Bean activity "Spring Cleaning."  I've attached both the PowerPoint slide that explains the activity and the worksheet.  It is a 2 minute clip from the episode and the YouTube link is on the PowerPoint slide.  I'm planning on showing the video twice.  Once just for watching and the second time I am going to pause the video at points to give my students examples for the dialogue between Mr. Bean and Teddy.
For example:
Teddy: In fact, I hate vacuuming.
Mr. Bean: Why?
Teddy: Because I hate getting sucked up by the vacuum.  It's not fair!

My students probably won't know the expression "sucked up."  So it is a useful expression to teach them.  I hope it's helpful!

Hi guys!  I'm planning on teaching this lesson for the third time next week.  On page 25 in Language Focus A the book focuses on homographs.  So I copied and pasted slides I found from another powerpoint on homographs.  It should be useful for them.  I'm also going to teach them what Homonyms are.  If I have time I will do the chapter song "There she goes."  I've attached the worksheet.
