Grade 3 Lesson 1 PowerPoint covering mottos, with a Lion King "Hakuna Matta" fill-in-the-blanks lyric sheet, and an "I'm thinking of ___" BINGO activity.
EDIT: added a set of premade BINGO boards. Just print and play! (Preferably in small groups, unless you have 16 or less total students.)

Something I threw together today for Lesson 1 Listen and Speak 2 + Bring together and Let's communicate.
Key phrase: It's important to
My schedule has been really messy, as it always is at the start of the year. This is a quick lesson to cover a class that I ended up seeing on short notice because of the changes. Its not great, but it should provide a base to work with as this part of the book kinda sucked.

I made a couple of worksheets. They are just OK, I'd modify them.
Edit: I really liked your connect 4, I just made a quick scaffolding worksheet the students can refer to. My classes are often beginner level.
Edit 2: I made a puzzle/jigsaw group activity. Thanks aklimkevicz for the template. You may have to fiddle with the text boxes, they sometimes go awry when I upload a file.
Edit 3: A couple of activities, I had to do this chapter for another week. A group timed activity and a skit activity. You can give out a picture page to each group to stimulate some ideas.

Lesson 1A and 1B. I have them every other week so I move pretty quickly. They are also at a very high level. For Listen and Spak 2 key phrase I explained it on the board. Thanks to aklimkewicz for your work. It helped a lot.

Thanks so much for all of your work (I've been blatantly stealing it all) - I plan to contribute more with later chapters but I just started at a Middle School and I'm only there 1 day a week so still getting my head around the textbooks etc.
I took the Pass the Ball above and made it into a Musical Chairs game, I also used some more songs that I found somewhere else on waygook so each slide has its own song so the kids get more into the moving about part.
I haven't tried it yet, pretty sure it's going to be fairly loud but had a great time with it when I was teaching high school girls a couple years ago - so hoping 3rd grade middle school aren't too different

I made a Pororo game using an awesome template from the elementary threads.
Warning: One of the slides has a pic of me in - change it to a pic of you or put in a different question.
Also, I used most of the slides from other ppts from above that I've mashed together for my reviews etc - so it may be a bit confusing if kids haven't been using the powerpoints above - make sure you go through it first and get an idea of the answers so you can prompt them toward the right answer if they're unsure.

Focus on Sounds (Y) for this lesson, plus a worksheet to review mottos.
